Grief support for every age

The Broken Roots
Foundation

Even when the roots are broken, we can still grow — together.

Our Story

Why We're Here

Losing a parent or guardian is one of the most profound experiences a person can go through — whether you're 8, 28, or 58. For younger people, it can bring anxiety, financial hardship, and a loneliness that's hard to explain to peers who haven't been there. For adults, it can quietly reshape everything — your identity, your relationships, your sense of direction.

The truth is, there's no right age to grieve and no timeline for healing. The Broken Roots Foundation was created to be a place for all of it — the young person figuring out life without their parent, and the grown adult who still reaches for the phone to call someone who's no longer there. This is a community for anyone who has lost a piece of their roots.

"When my mother passed from heart disease, I learned two things: grief changes everything, and who's beside you during it changes everything else. Some of us had a village. Some of us didn't. This foundation was created so that no matter your story — whether you're surrounded by people or standing completely alone — you will always have a place to be held, heard, and supported."
